Bumper Game Review for the Galaxy Tab and Galaxy S

So everyone, as you know I’m a Samsung Mobiler, and my latest mission has been to review a game for the Galaxy Tab, however in this blog I’m going to be reviewing not 1 game…but 3! One game for the Galaxy Tab, one for the Galaxy S and another Game that can be downloaded from the Android Marketplace and played on either device! :) Anyway I’ll end the suspense, I’ll be reviewing Nova HD on the Galaxy Tab, Avatar on the Galaxy S and Angry Birds :) I’ll also be including a video which gives my thoughts on each game :)

First up! Nova HD!

 nova

From the image you can see that this game was first released in 2009 and it has been a popular choice ever since on all platforms. The latest edition is a HD version and it works beautifully on the Galaxy Tabs 7inch HD screen, polygons have been smoothed out and the whole experience of playing the game has become smoother!

On the left is a picture of the start screen, here you can continue your mission or dip into multiplayer :) As for the multiplayer the action never slows down, even when different players are popping in and out of the game and the Galaxy Tab’s processor is more than a match for the 3D visuals.

Not only is the game a ‘point and shoot’ game, but there are also different puzzle aspects to the game, such as ‘hacking’ crates that contain ammo. This is achieved by reflecting light using mirrors onto the green light sensors as is seen on the picture above (left). There are also different touches that are applied in the game such as using your fingers to activate the elevator by moving the arrow to whichever floor you need to be on as seen in the picture on the right. Also added in the HD version of the game is gyroscopic controls, these are awesome and I shall demonstrate them in the video!

Finally the story mode is pretty good, and there is mostly good voice acting…as you can see the story is pretty similar to another infamous FPS…begins with a H ends in O :P But still this game is good for killing a few hours on a long train journey and for the price its well worth the download! Play a mobile classic…Play NOVA HD!

Right! Next game ANGRY Birds

This game can be played on either the Galaxy Tab or the Galaxy S, this is a really simple..but totally ADDICTIVE game! The basic premise is that the naughty green piggies have been stealing the birds eggs…and so they decide to get revenge by catapulting themselves at the piggies…while they barracade themselves behind bits of wood and stone and other bits and bobs. There is a free version on the Android Marketplace and this contains around 78 levels! More than a few hours of mindless fun I would say!

Finally the last game I shall be discussing is Avatar HD for the Galaxy S!

If anyone has watched Avatar the movie you’ll know what the basic story is, if not here’s a super quick rundown…basically humans have gone to a planet where there are a tribe of aliens are living over natural resources that they want to mine…sooo they clone some aliens of their own and by controlling them with humans use them to infiltrate the tribe, except all does not go to plan. That's all I’m going to say :P  Anyway, onto the game itself this one is a third person effort where you control your character on screen using the v-pad, there are also buttons to jump, drop and use your weapon. The graphics are brilliant 3D and once again the Galaxy S processor makes light work of the game…i haven’t experienced any lag with it at all! Anyway check out the video below for a bit more info on each game and i’ll be demonstrating them too! Any feedback is welcome! Thanks for reading!!!
